This Saturday night - May 28 - at CHEERS in Ramona!

Folks, we're getting a sort of a reputation here at CHEERS, as a band that delivers -

and it doesn't hurt our feelings a bit...

and of course the reason we're enjoying an amount of success is because of all you

great family and friends who somehow manage to come out for us here!

I know times are hard and money's tight... but this is Ramona,

and there really ain't nothing else to do anyways...so git yer butts on over here!

Cheers has a really great menu - and is especially known for their burgers, which actually won a contest as

"Best Burger in San Diego" or maybe it was "Best burger in the World"...I guess you can decide for yourselves.

You know there was a huge tragedy in Joplin, and again...

time to call the AMERICAN RED CROSS at 1-800-733-2767

and do what we can.

May 21, 2011

As a result of the great turnout from all our wonderful friends and family, Lost Coyote's fearless leader

Tim E. Tadd has arranged for us to have another date, for the Downtown Cafe in ElCajon

Friday August 19 at 6:30 PM!

We get to play outside, where the sound is MUCH better than a typical indoors stage; with great food & drink.

Best of all, a real family atmosphere...I even saw my 5 month old great niece, Olivia there!

Cuter than a basket full of puppies!

 Downtown Cafe

 May 16, 2011

We had a blast at the Downtown Cafe, and once again

THANKS

to all our friends and families for your support,

the value of which is almost immeasurable.

We will play CHEERS on May 28...and we (and the folks at CHEERS)  would surely like to see another record-setting night.

Do you realize it's already been a year since our first gig? You know, when we gave away all those T-shirts?

That was a night!

Let's see if we can pull all that together again...for the memories...

We'll be rocking The REGAL on June 11.

Calendar page will be updated shortly!

LLTLC!

 April 28, 2011

The Lost Coyotes will be at the Downtown Cafe on Saturday May 14.

It's a great location in El Cajon, and they'll be outside on the patio.  The best part is, they start at 6:30!

Here's the link to the Downtown Cafe, complete with menu and the address.  Plan on having dinner!

Downtown Cafe

This will be their first time at this venue, so your support is needed and appreciated!

Hope to see you there- and bring some friends!

April 11, 2011

Due to a schedule change, we will NOT be performing at DON'S COCKTAILS later this month,

but we're looking forward to seeing you at  CHEERS  on April 23!

We plan on really tearing it up, as it will be the one year anniversary of the re-formation of the band!

So damn it, come one, come all! It's PARTY TIME - and to celebrate,

we will be giving away our new bumper stickers...plus, and if I can do it - I'll buy ya a beer!

To my son Michael's mother, Carol. Today would be your birthday. We don't understand
why you had to go so young; we have to believe that you're in a better place.
You are missed by everyone who knew you.

Rest in peace.

March 28, 2011

Welcome back! We have updated the calendar page, and our next PUBLIC job is

CHEERS in RAMONA on Saturday, April 23.

But wait...there's MORE!

The following day (April 24) is Easter Sunday, which will be the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

of the first gig in the reunion of the LOST COYOTES!

So we may be offering new, cool "bribe" items, MAYBE T-SHIRTS, BUMPER STICKERS, OR SOMETHING ELSE...

to give away to those who make it to the gig!

March 21, 2011

Well, Saturday night at CHEERS was sure a good time! I don't think it's been much more

full of folks diggin' the music, dancin' and carrying on.

The band had a bunch of fun, and it was hard to stop playin' with so many

willing accomplices ready to "boogie-woogie all night long".

THANKS

to all our friends and family, and I won't leave out the locals -

for making this a hugely successful evening for the Lost Coyotes.

On another note; I'm sure you are aware of the tragedy that our good friends in Japan are enduring,

and it's time for those of us so fortunate in the USA to offer our help in whatever way we can.

One very EASY way to help is simply to call the AMERICAN RED CROSS at 1-800-733-2767 and donate ten, or twenty dollars, or whatever  you can swing.

We Americans have taken some heat lately, and while we've certainly never been perfect, we have always been the most generous nation on Earth...

Always first in line to give money, food, clothing or medical help to whatever country, friend or enemy, facing disasters such as Japan is facing now.

Again, the American Red Cross: 1-800-733-2767

May God Bless you, and May God Bless America.

March 14, 2011

Next stop: CHEERS in RAMONA! Saturday, March 19...9PM-1AM

You really should come out for this one, as we are getting to be somewhat semi-proficient in what we do!

I'm kidding, of course...

Not to brag, but we are actually well beyond semi-proficient, and approaching the much anticipated but hard to achieve "bearable" hurdle.

(Insert your favorite smiley face here)

March 13, 2011

THANKS for a great turnout at Calvins last night! We had a lot of fun, and I believe all our friends & families did as well.

I think we may be back there...

March 1, 2011

Correction: Next public gig is at

CALVIN'S in PINE VALLEY on MARCH 12.

At the top of the page, at the bottom of the center panel is a link to our short music demo.

What a blast!

We had a great time last night at CHEERS, and THANKS to ALL our families and friends for braving the rainy weather to come out.

It was apparent that everybody had a good time. Lots of dancing going on is always a good sign.

From my perspective, it gets better and better the more we play. It's great fun when it's groovin'...

February 17, 2011

CHEERS in Ramona this Saturday night, February 19! Come on down! You know we love you.

Here's the six song demo we just recorded. Relax...it's only 7 minutes, 43 seconds long...a medley, if you will. It's still a medley - even if you won't.

While we did it pretty quickly, I think it's of more than sufficient quality for its purpose. Seriously, I think Jim did a really great job on this recording,

considering the weird noises I was making - which somehow brings back memories of the sounds of the Chicago stock yards.

If you click this little icon thing below, something should happen. It's an mp3 file.

Updated...Jim says it definitely works fine on his machine...which I think is a Windows box. My machine is running Debian Linux, and it works fine here.

I have no way to know how it will work on an apple, or mac, so let me know if there's any problem.

  February 10, 2011

Howdy Coyotes and Coyotettes,

Lots of new and exciting stuff coming around...

I'm so proud...I have finally added an actual calendar, and as expected - it took me longer than I anticipated.

I also updated the song list, and it now includes 27% more of our songs. The old one was just unreliable.

Please bear with me as it may take a bit for all this to work smoothly, or it may be perfect already.

Jim says our new demo songs should be ready by Friday, and I'll post them here for you all to enjoy - or critique...

I don't give a damn, just as long as you pay attention.

More earth-shakingly self-important, yet pointless mind-wanderings coming soon...

Ramona CHEERS is next, on Saturday, February 19 as well as  Saturday, March 19.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

January 18, 2011

Many thanks to all our friends and families for making Don's Cocktails a big weekend!

It was a lot of fun, and we look forward to playing there again.

Meantime, Ramona CHEERS is next on the list, on Saturday, February 19 as well as  Saturday, March 19.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

January 5, 2011

Happy New Year!

The Lost Coyotes open 2011 at:

DON's COCKTAILS

Friday & Saturday, January 7-8

8:30 pm --> 1 am

Come on down! (Calendar page for details)

It looks as if 2011 is going to be a great year for the band.

Things are really beginning to gel with the addition of multi-talented guitarist and keyboardist, Jim Nau

We've been rehearsing tirelessly - (well, yeah... but I am kinda tired right now) and adding new songs to make the most of Jim's contribution to the band!

One of my favorites is the Procol Harum song, "Whiter Shade of Pale", as Jim nails the Hammond B-3 sound...while R.B. holds the steady beat - and Tim just sings the HELL out of it!!

There's more, too, but you'll have to come out and see it to appreciate it!

I may have some t-shirts left, and my imaginary accountant says I can probably give a few away!

December 24, 2010

The Lost Coyotes wish you a

Merry Christmas!

Again, thanks to all our friends and family who helped make the rebirth of the Lost Coyotes a fun and exciting time. 2010 was really a like a free trial for the band. It seems to have been well received, and the comments that I have been informed of have been all positive. We won't be taking anything for granted though...practice will make us better - and we will continue to rehearse new material, brushing up older stuff, and... perhaps the most exciting news is; Tim has mentioned thoughts of getting back into writing some new Lost Coyotes originals! Darned if that won't be fun!

There's so much to do... and we look forward to a (somewhat) busier 2011.

December 6, 2010

The LOST COYOTES will be found at CHEERS Ramona this coming Saturday, December 11.

if you are breathing, and you'd better be... you gotta make it out for what is promising to be the most wild-ass night we've had yet.

"And now, a serious moment with Mike"

(OK..., not too serious)

Folks, over the past ? years I spent a lot of time "missing" this band. Eventually I began planning a way to do it again.

Conventional wisdom would say, "You can never go back", and in my experience, that is mostly true.

But thankfully - in the Lost Coyotes, conventional wisdom has no place.

Excuse me a second...

(voice 1: Hey! what the h*ll was that?)

(me: Just shut up...it was a joke)

(voice 1: oh...OH! haha yeah I get it...)

(voices 2,3,4: Hey what are you talking about...?)

(me: rolls eyes; takes deep breathe)

As we began to assemble this raggedy bunch of musical maniacs,

I wondered if...after a "few" years off, this band could capture the old magic again.

There's so many variables...and I haven't mastered predicting the future yet.

Now, I know there's no doubt. The chemistry is not an option...it is a built-in component.

So my hat is off (OK, if I wore one - it would be off) (wait...which is it?) to my good friends and fellow Lost Coyotes

Tim, Robert and Jim

for allowing themselves to be found working hard with me to make this a reality.

But mostly I want to thank YOU - you people who come and party with us, you are the reason WE are here.

It's a damn good time, y'all.

 Rest in Peace, Mother

August 8, 1934 - December 5 2001

November 25, 2010

Thanksgiving.

The reason we celebrate this day is not so we can eat till we hurt and watch football all day. That is just a fringe benefit. Let's not forget the settlers going across vast oceans in leaky wooden boats, who risked their lives for the mere possibility  of liberty, and freedom to worship and to live their lives in the way they chose.

Sickness and death were more common than not. It was a long shot that they'd survive the journey, and they had not even a chance of an easy life once here, but it was worth it to them... despite all the hardships, and with no promise of anything other than a chance to be free, they found a reason to be thankful.

What does that say? Well, it says to me that things must have been pretty messed up where they came from. Life must have really sucked. If you ever feel like life sucks,  try and imagine - is it so bad that you'd be willing to endure what the settlers of America endured...?

And we generally take all this for granted, but for this one day out of a year. And as each generation gets further removed from the reality that people actually froze to death, starved to death, or died from some horrible disease in the pursuit of liberty, we are more and more willing to let somebody else do the dirty work; let the government grow bigger and assume more control than our founders knew they should ever have.

 Happy Thanksgiving.

Most everybody has loved ones around. If you do, enjoy them, appreciate them and be thankful you have them.

The old saying remains true: You may not appreciate what you have till it's gone.

November 22, 2010

We hope you can make it to DON"S COCKTAILS this coming weekend, November 26-27!

We have been looking forward to this for almost a year!

Well OK - maybe 6 months...but we anticipate much fun will ensue!

November 11, 2010

(For Greg Taylor- "bum...bum bum bum") ;)

Some big news!

The Lost Coyotes welcome

JIM NAU

to the band!

Jim is an amazingly talented guitarist, who also plays a mean keyboard...and, also plays drums and bass!

So  RB & Tim, we better re-think this...looks like he could replace ANY of us...

*rimshot*

"But Seriously Folks", I have been mis-delivering Jim's mail for almost 23 years, so we've met...but it hasn't always been this pleasant.

Like when he suggested I not drink so much while I'm working...THAT almost started a brawl right there, I tell ya what.

Really though, (this time for sure)  I worked with Jim for a bit, after the Lost Coyotes crashed and burned...

and I always admired his musical talents and complete lack of flaky-ness. If that isn't a word, I apologize...but I mean to say that "Jim is absolutely NOT a flake".

Jim plays a beautiful old, (and heavy) Hammond B-3 organ, as well as his gold top Les Paul from 1973. He also has golden ears,

and if you have heard the work he's done in his studio, recording, mixing and mastering, you'd know what I'm saying.

Jim Nau will be joining us at the LOST LIZARD FUN RUN on November 12-13, (see calendar page or link below)

so y'all come on down and help us give him a big ol' Lost Coyote welcome!

SDORC Lost Lizard Fun Run: November 12-13

---------------------------------------------------------

October 20, 2010

Another great time at CHEERS last Friday!

I cannot say it enough... a huge

"THANK YOU!"

to ALL our friends and families for your support! You are the best fans a band could hope for...

Never let it be said that we don't appreciate each and every one of you!

If you have pictures from the gig you'd like to share, please contact us (CONTACT page) so we can post them for the unfortunate people who were not able to come out....

Next gig is in the middle of the desert somewhere- for the SDORC, Nov. 12-13, and then on Nov. 26-27, the Lost Coyotes "find" themselves at

one of the mostest funnest places in the county - DON'S COCKTAILS

Details on CALENDAR page!

 October 5, 2010

Cheers is this Friday, October 8th!

We'll see you all there for some good wholesome rock 'n roll fun...!

Bring your appetite for the best burgers around, and we'll party like it's Friday night!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 September 29, 2010

  •  Another cycle of intense heat, and a generally busy schedule at day job have made for a long, hot and sweaty week, and not the good kind... Finding unattended garden hoses to soak down with is one way to get through another 15 minutes, then I gotta look again for another.

  • The odd thing is; I used to dream about retirement; now I'm not sure I'd be good at it. I have gotten to the point where I actually enjoy my work, and that scares me. The rebel in me still says, "f 'em all!" but I guess I must be finally *shudder* maturing.

THAT scares me even more...

  • Except for going to Cheers Monday night for their ten-dollar steak dinner, I spent a good deal of time "after day job" at home, working my own delicious new endangered species recipes. Man, I ain't lying to ya...I have really reached new heights lately on that microwave...my bald eagle/spotted owl combo is coming along, and needs only a touch of California condor to really unleash its potential.

  • By the way, regarding Cheers Monday nights; the steak rotation includes porterhouse, ribeye, t-bone, filet mignon or New York - comes with a baked tater and salad. But it's still good, and a great deal at $10 a plate. Sean fires up the massive official "Cheers propane and propane accessories" barbeque, and cooks each steak to order while lying through his teeth about stuff in general...and it's just a damn good experience...

  • I got to meet yet another lovely Cheers bartender, Sarah, who is an avid Packers fan...(as am I, but I'm not as lovely - and for that matter, I'm not much of a bartender) and I ate my steak and watched as the Bears just beat them. I don't get out much, so I have no idea how long Sarah has been working there...but she opens a mean bottle of beer. I made sure she got a Lost Coyotes tank, and demanded she wear it when we play there on October 8th. Then I picked myself up off the floor and headed home. Did I mention Sarah is a Marine?

:)

  September 25, 2010

No real news to report this week, so after the all-important, blatant self-promotion that immediately follows,

I will fill some lines with nonsense that is partly my imagination (Hey! Quiet up there - I'm typing!) and partly distorted fragments of some whispered, but still overheard half-truth.

Maybe, if you're extra GOOD - I'll bring out my imaginary accountant, Codenia, to share her thoughts on financial responsibility.

*******************************

We are continuing to add material and rehearse for some fun gigs like these:

(for details go to CALENDAR page)

This fall is a busier time for us, when we actually may have more than one gig in a 30 day period.

I am due for more therapy anyway, and the added stress of all these gigs has pushed me to my limits.

*yawn*

Coupled with the fact that my HMO won't cover the other part of my "procedure" till 2011...

you might say I'm a bit edgy.

*yawn* *stretch*

**********************************

  • It gets pretty hot these days in RB's garage, which is our practice space. Don't feel bad for us, though...we usually have a cold orange juice or milk, whatever is healthy, to cool us down.*choke*

  • According to RB, he was gonna mow his yard today. It's a big yard, so I wished him well. I reminded him that power equipment can be very dangerous, and told him to stay focused. Then I gave him a cookie and went home.

  • Tim E. Tadd & family celebrated the twins birthday, P and T are now 20 years old!

(For my ex... the twins birthday was a different kinda experience. But the plastic surgeon did a decent job.)

  • I worked as usual, but met a nice llama today...I think her name was Chloraforma. she had long eyelashes and seemed to smile a lot. Romance may be in the air!!! *cough*

  • Also noticed an abnormal number of road kill squirrels for the time of year, and wished I had my barbeque grill with me, especially at lunch time.

Well that'll wrap it up for now...stay tuned!

September 14, 2010

Went by CHEERS this afternoon for their "taco Tuesday".

A buck each. They are good tacos!

R.B Courtney met me there for a rhythm section interaction meeting, and we discussed many items, band related and otherwise.

I am happy to report that the rhythm section at this time is in full compliance with all state & local regulations

for restraint in the matter of tempo set by an act passed in early 2010 by the tempo regulatory commission

in conjunction with the bassist and drummer unions.

September 12, 2010

 Master song list updated...

A couple dates have been added to our calendar:

Friday October 8th, at Cheers, Ramona, 9PM -1AM.

I really hope all our Friends & Families can make it out again.

Sean, our friendly CHEERS owner, had nothing but good things to say about you ladies and gentlemen,

and something to the effect of,  "...and well behaved, too".

Your support the first time was phenomenal and much appreciated.

Thanks again!!!

If you are one of the several who didn't score a free t-shirt, and gave your info to Julie, we should have those "rain checks".

We'll have some "new" songs...some Bad Company you may not have heard, a favorite from Willie Nelson, another Robin Trower, a seldom heard Lynyrd Skynyrd tune and actually others too.

We also have another fun gig coming...

November 12-13 at Ocotillo Wells for the San Diego Off-Road Coalition

Much appreciation to friends Justin & Cathy, of the SDORC for their confidence in The Lost Coyotes!

According to those who know,  2000+ people will be attending, making it the most potential fun yet!

T-shirts

My imaginary accountant says interesting things; stuff I'd never think of on my own...like, the word "income"

means actually money coming IN...why, who'd a thought of that?! She insists I listen, yet I rarely do.

Honestly- all I wanna do is get the tees to everyone who wants one - and just not lose much money on the transaction.

Since I am the CEO and sole employee of Coyo-tees (clever, huh...? No?) I am: purchaser, art designer, image processor, screen printer and the all-important cleaner-upper (hmm, I hope I don't go on strike or call in sick)... I can say for sure that I don't make a dime on these...and that even if I was smart enough to figure it out, I don't want to know for sure how much I actually lose.

If I could, I'd give a t-shirt to everybody at every gig. Since reality differs, I had an idea to do "free" raffles...

no charge for a raffle ticket.

It's a compromise - still freebies, and everyone likes a freebie... just not so many. I think I can do that. At least for a while.

I'll soon be getting some womens tanks, as well...colors and style will be limited, but sizes will run the gamut.

If you just want to get a Lost Coyotes t-shirt without waiting for a raffle or a gig, I can do that, too...

just hit the contact page and fire off an email.

We ain't gonna hit you for ten, fifteen or twenty bucks a shirt...the most I'd ask is around five dollars + first class postage for a basic mens (I'd have to do a bunch of math to get a true figure) and that is just to offset expenses.

Song List

A list of the songs we're playing is available by clicking Song List, top of page, right.

This list is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or even our song list...

Not ready for the front page

I am faced with the unenviable task of writing my own short bio, which is bad enough.

Self-deprecating humor is my mainstay, and Tim has said, "and not a bunch of that kinda crap".

So, it would appear that I am faced with writing the truth - but I don't know if I can do that.

Most likely I will go with my first instinct, which is to write a pack of lies designed to impress everybody.

The truth would always haunt me, though...I'll have to see if I have any ethics left.

But no matter which way, I have some ideas as to how to present it in a way that won't embarrass the band, but it's not ready yet...

I know I can hardly wait.

August 30, 2010

A brief bio of Lost Coyotes drummer, R.B.Courtney

First, Robert is an enigma. (wait a minute please...)

(...OK, I am back from looking up "enigma"...it isn't exactly the word I should have used, but hell, I can't go back and change it now...)

I wish I knew him better. I can say he's a complicated guy, and likes interesting, complex music, as well as what we play. (rimshot)

R.B. could have been a jazz drummer, I think. He has all 26 drum rudiments crammed into his brain.

In the case of most drummers, when all 26 rudiments are stored there, it pushes against the "off" switch for tempo stability.

In Roberts case it just makes him think about having another coffee.

He knows a flamadiddle from a paradiddle, I guarantee it...and I can't say that about very many people I know.

R.B. likes to be creative with the drum parts he plays, giving them his own signature...and

he's always looking for places to sneak in a little "hoodly sh*t" to

"Get even with Tim for not bothering to tell me WTF the next song is before you start it!!"

To be fair to Tim, that stuff happened years ago...

Finally, R.B.Courtney has a great sense of humor....at least I HOPE he does....

But seriously, We love Robert, and we love his playing.

He's a dependable, energetic guy with a unique perspective on things, and it would not be the Lost Coyotes with any other drummer.

:)

August 29, 2010

Howdy, folks. It's been a week since our reunion party at Cheers, and I've had time to think...

Hey! Sit down - it's OK, I'm just kidding...no thinking here, promise!

I'd like to get some introductions done, for those who don't much know us.  Not the long and in-depth stuff,
just a sample of what I believe to be true based on my interactions with these guys.

I'll start off with Tim E. Tadd
 - guitars, vocals

Tim is a fan of a very wide variety of music, and can play at least guitar and piano, and knows a bunch of music theory and history.

More importantly, Tim has an instinct for what works and what does not, in the context of this band.
He is usually right. His experience is such that R.B and I won't argue with him. This is not to say we cannot input our ideas and thoughts,
because we do that all the time. It's just easier and saves time to listen to the experience, and as
Clint Eastwood once said, "A man has got to know his limitations".

(If you hired an accountant because you don't know a lot of math, would you second guess him?)

A guy who really plays from his heart, to really SAY something with the guitar instead of just playing as fast as possible.

The most impressive thing I ever heard anyone say about Tim, could be this: We were playing in another band at Humphrey's, and after our set was done,
Buddy Blue (RIP) said, "Who the hell are you and where have you been?"

I could go on, but don't wanna embarrass Tim...Next time, I'll go after R.B. Courtney.

August 23, 2010

 I have a blast creating and writing for the Lost Coyotes website. I am obviously not a pro;

I have no formal training and almost no experience. (Along with big fingers that mostly hit wrong keys.)

I am not giving it up...but I'll be enlisting two real pros, Julie Edwards and Ian Thurston to help with the photos and videos.

I honestly just don't have the time to get that deep into it.

August 21, 2010

THANKS to all our friends & families who came out to Cheers. It was a pretty great night!

FIRST; Folks, I know we didn't have enough Lost Coyote t-shirts, and please accept my apology if you didn't get one. We had done some research and came up with our best guess...but man, we couldn't have anticipated the huge turnout at Cheers last night. If you came (to Cheers) and were not able to get a shirt - go to the "contact" page and send your info... I will be placing another order this weekend and will print them up and get them to you as soon as is possible.

That's the best I can do...

Armando, I appreciate the coyote bolo, all the way from New Mexico. Thanks!

Three separate events made up the party; the first being the band's reunion celebration.

I was deeply moved by all the support we got. It's OK, though, because after a while I moved back where I was. I can't thank you all enough.

My co-worker and friend Rich - celebrating retirement after 30 years. He apparently didn't get the "golden handshake" but claimed to have narrowly avoided the proverbial golden shower - from management - and worse, several times over the years...

Mrs. Tadd (Julie) had a bunch of friends with birthdays in the summer, and rumors are they apparently had fun joking with Cheer's Bar tender Christine, and chef, Mike - who danced with some of the party between flipping those award-winning burgers.

Julie handled the "free T-shirt" distribution like it was nothing...and FAST, too...Thanks, Julie! I only wish we had MORE T-shirts to give.

My biggest fans, little brother Scott and my sister-in-law Shawn, always able to pack a room with friends for whatever band I happen to be in, interrupted their camping trip from the Barona drag strip, where he was getting set to run his '68 GTO through its paces after recent improvements to the car. How many other people do you know who have owned the same car since high school?

Familiar faces;  Trish and Greg, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Cartwright, to name a few of the ones I know of...

Our friend Daddy Mack (not to be confused with the Mack Daddy) and Mrs. Mack came down from L.A., got a room in a hotel and everything! I wished I had more time to BS with DM...

Other long distance travelers included R.B.'s son Ian...an 8 hour drive...just to see and take video of his Dad playing some music.  Last I saw him he was a kid.  When I was that age...I'm not sure I would have been as tolerant of the "older" generation's music. R.B.'s family also included son Zane, and at least three lovely women, Mary, Morgan and Whitney and a bunch of their friends, and I don't recall the last time I'd seen so many beauties in one place.

Tim, R.B. and I had a fun time - the crowd was great - and seeing as that is the goal, we're happy. The bar had a good night, as well...which means that we will have another opportunity to be happy, soon.
