Welcome To The
We'll be having some good times, and hope you'll join us for some

Last updated: December 28, 2011
Another year has blown by, and this New Years Eve, the Lost Coyotes will be ringing in 2012
while happily blasting out some bad-a*s American rock n roll
at the DOWNTOWN CAFE in El Cajon from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm.
Yes, I know...but lets pretend we're on east coast time for an evening and it'll be great!
November 27, 2011
We had a fun time - and a lot of good friends helped us do it - at the DOWNTOWN CAFE Saturday night!
Despite the normal holiday weekend lag, a surprizing number of our most dedicated friends and family made it out.
So, THANK YOU all, and you know who you are!
Yes, boys and girls, it's time for my annual year's-end ramble!
The past couple of years have been (mostly) a blast for this band, and we're always
grateful for our friends and family who often go out of their way to support us.
We truly can't thank you enough.
When we re-formed the Lost Coyotes in - what was it, 2009? Holy cow...anyway, we were a
three piece band, just happy to play music together again - and would have done it for nothing other than that.
With Tim's leadership, and with the addition of Jim Nau (acoustic & electric 6 & 12 string guitars, keyboards)
about a year into it, we were driven to be a better, more disciplined band, and have challenged
ourselves to learn songs which we hadn't considered, prior. We have expanded our list into a diversity that is boarderline weird...
where else can you hear a Robin Trower song followed by Dwight Yokam - then Santana?
...Just because we're older doesn't mean we're done growing...and our goal is to be as good a band as we can be.
Tim is retired from the 9 to 5 'day job' grind (and yes, he earned it) but he brought his outstanding work ethic
with him into this band. Robert, Jim and myself are no strangers to hard work either,
and I am sure that we can accomplish whatever we decide to do.
Let me clear something up: By referring to Tim E. Tadd as "The Boss", I don't mean that in any negative way.
He ain't a tyrant...we all have a say in any band matter, but he does the all the unsung dirty work;
he is the booker (a true challenge to the even the most saintly & patient, and a logistical nightmare in itself),
the set arranger, the deciding vote, and mostly-
Tim is the one who keeps us on track to really be as good as we can be.
I'll stand by that, and I know R.B. and Jim are with me as well.
We loves our Tim E Tadd, and you CAN'T HAVE HIM!
We will be adding new material and probably even a couple new places to play in 2012.
Once again, THANK YOU to everybody who has supported us,
and know that we know that we wouldn't be much without you.
Here's to a happy and healthy 2012, everybody.

CHEERS in Ramona is next Saturday night, November 5, so git yer butts on out to Ramona and help us tear it up!
We could use some additional support up here...
Ramona is not known as a big, "Hey, let's go out to see a band..." town.
No, quite the contrary...which has nearly caused the demise, several times, of any live music venues there.
Whatdowehavetado? Give away free T-shirts to get y'all out here?
Well, maybe...
The BOO Parade & Carnival was a huge success and a lot of fun!
Thanks to the hard work and determination of Lillian Palmer, who, as best I can tell, masterminded the event.
There was a LOT of stuff going on, and without her coordination it could have been...not so good.
There was a great turnout of all ages! Lots of fun stuff for kids and everybody.
We got to help out with some music, and we had a great time doing it.
We would like to also thank John Roy Sound Contractor, for the tremendous job running sound,
doing announcements, and making us sound darn good.
Looking forward to next year's event!

SEPTEMBER 3, 2011
We have another show at our favorite place to play,
...The Downtown Cafe... on September 16.
Folks, this is a cool place to be!...and I don't usually even go OUT unless I am working.
So...yes, I would go there even if I wasn't working there.
THAT should convince anybody, right?

In loving memory of Mom, who would have been 77 today -
We love you and miss you, always.

This is obviously not an obituary photo, but instead an image that shows mom in health and beauty; with her entire future ahead and unknown.

Rest In Peace
Apparently I was able to "fix" the calendar, so all the stuff I wrote below, yesterday,
was a total waste of my brain's somewhat limited resources...and I now know why I'm tired today.
I'm gonna take a nap, now.

DOWNTOWN CAFE - August19 - START TIME - TO BE DETERMINED
August 1, 2011
Upcoming...Saturday, August 6th at CHEERS in Ramona...9PM - 1AM...come on down,
help us keep live music alive on a Small Town Saturday Night!
Not making any promises, but I know for a fact that Hal Ketchum has been known to show up at Cheers*
In fact the last time I talked with him was at this bar.
*While this is entirely true, it doesn't necessarily mean he will be there this Saturday night.
Just in case he is, we are prepared to cover at least one of his biggest hits!
OK, I am done rambling here for now, but please - grab anybody you can stand and come out on Saturday night. Though the economic times are tough, my heart is not troubled because our government has shown us the way...(?)
So let's show our faith in the government by following their example!
When you're out of money, can't afford any luxuries and can't even pay the bills, just go borrow as much as you can, and spend, spend, spend! Not on important stuff, either...just have a fricking ball!
Prosperity is inevitable!
:)
July 24, 2011
We'll be playing the Ramona fair next Sunday, July 31 - for a set. Then we'll be at CHEERS the following weekend.
June 23, 2011
The Lost Coyotes are excited to return to Cheers in Ramona this Saturday, June 25.
Come enjoy a burger and howl with the Coyotes! The music starts at 9:00...
Bob and Gail: we've added a Cha-cha* and a waltz*, so bring your dancin shoes! See ya Saturday!!
*editor's trivia of the week: The Heimlich maneuver was conceived during the prohibition as an ideal way to relieve anxiety.
It was a cross between the cha-cha, the waltz and just a tiny little part of the tango...
Only much later was it discovered to have the added benefit of keeping a choking person alive.
When done properly and while drinking a genuine Coca-Cola, which- as you may know- contained actual heroin or something,
people using it described feeling giddy or elated, then, quite surprisingly... depressed, and later still - embalmed.
June 2,2011
Howdy all y'all Lost Coyotes,
We have another "new" gig coming fast, and it is as follows:
THE REGAL
8344 La Mesa Blvd in downtown La Mesa
June 11, 9 pm
Hats off to Tim E. Tadd - he has been working his way through all the finer places to play
around the county, lookin' for some gigs that mangy old Lost Coyotes could be proud of.
(Ended that sentence with a preposition, did I?)
I know it's a slow and tedious process...and...well, let's just leave it at that.
So when he lands one, like THE REGAL...why, it just goes to show how really cool the management is there,
the extraordinary taste they must possess, and just what a neato place to party it must be!
As it goes, we have but ONE chance to make a first impression.
We're counting on YOU friends, to come out and help support the band.
We'll be raffling off a 1970's vintage toaster oven, a broken fax/copy machine and a new Cadillac!!!
May 25, 2011
This Saturday night - May 28 - at CHEERS in Ramona!
Folks, we're getting a sort of a reputation here at CHEERS, as a band that delivers -
and it doesn't hurt our feelings a bit...
and of course the reason we're enjoying an amount of success is because of all you
great family and friends who somehow manage to come out for us here!
I know times are hard and money's tight... but this is Ramona,
and there really ain't nothing else to do anyways...so git yer butts on over here!
Cheers has a really great menu - and is especially known for their burgers, which actually won a contest as
"Best Burger in San Diego" or maybe it was "Best burger in the World"...I guess you can decide for yourselves.
Our thoughts are with those involved in the tragedy in Joplin, and again...
time to call the AMERICAN RED CROSS at 1-800-733-2767
and do what we can.
May 21, 2011
As a result of the great turnout from all our wonderful friends and family, Lost Coyote's fearless leader
Tim E. Tadd has arranged for us to have another date, for the Downtown Cafe in ElCajon
We get to play outside, where the sound is MUCH better than a typical indoors stage; with great food & drink.
Best of all, a real family atmosphere...I even saw my 5 month old great niece, Olivia there!
Cuter than a basket full of puppies!
